HIGHLIGHTS
Toma Café
Great coffee (had a cortado and a pourover during my extended stay)
Good food (chocolate cake and buttered toast with dulce de leche)
Solid music selection (Radiohead, Pink Floyd (meh), Led Zeppelin, Frank Zappa)
Wrote a lot more than anticipated. I will definitely be sharing more of those ideas. All good, and all reflective.
Got some loose itinerary stuff sorted for Jordan’s trip.
Walked to the Prado Museum but couldn’t get in with Taylor’s teacher credential. May try and go back during the time they have free admission. We’ll see.
Walked to the Real Jardín Botánico and got in for free with Taylor’s credential.
Went to the Museo de la Reina Sofia and got in for free with his teacher card. Saw lots of Picasso, Dalí, Miró, and more. It took probably 3.5 hours and was great.
Beautiful weather again in Madrid (mid-50s, partly cloudy)

Went to a local brewery and had a few beers with Taylor
Met up with some of Taylor’s coworkers after beers and had a good time. One of his coworker’s girlfriends, Judit, has done the Camino 4-5 times in the last 5-6 years and was super helpful to chat with.
Churros!
Chatted with K8 in the afternoon (her morning).
Taylor took us to his favorite bar, which was a bit out of the way, only to find out that he apparently got kicked out his last time there and wasn’t allowed in. He was very sorry, but his coworker Anthony (sassy gay black guy from Philly—a ton of fun) and I found it hysterical.
I had my first tortilla española of the trip, and it was delicious!
CHALLENGES
Was out later than anticipated and probably drank more than I planned to.

SOME THINGS I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO TOMORROW
Having a little bit of a rest day and getting things more put together for the Camino.
I also have plenty of pics from my day that I intend to share one way or another.
